Meet Dr. Daniel Spears
Daniel T. Spears, DDS
I grew up here in Palm City, attended the University of Florida and dental school in North Carolina, then returned to serve the people and area I love.
Being a dentist, for me, is more than fixing teeth; it’s seeing and caring for the whole person, understanding what you need and expect, and finding the ideal approach to your individual concerns.
Dentistry demands that I am an attentive listener, skilled communicator, and creative problem solver. Incorporating technical know-how, in-depth knowledge, and proven, conservative treatment, along with the crucial calm and gentle chairside manner, allows me to help others enjoy a better quality of life.
There is a lot of personal and professional satisfaction that comes from helping people. I like taking something that isn’t right and fixing it: making sure I have delivered the finest quality of care as well as lasting results. My greatest reward is a patient’s happiness and their spontaneous smile at the end of a visit!
Education and Professional Affiliations
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, where I graduated with honors and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. I attended the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, and obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors.
One of the most fascinating aspects of dentistry, I find, is the continual advancement of the profession. Rigorous research leads to new methodologies, materials, and technologies, which change patient care, diagnostics, treatment planning, and procedures.
I stay current on the latest evidence-based developments through continuing education, and incorporate proven, minimally invasive options into the practice. This ensures I can provide patients with the best treatments and predictable outcomes.
I am an active member of the:
These organizations offer numerous opportunities for me to further hone my skills and stay at the forefront of developments in the profession. In addition to courses focused on general dentistry, I have completed many hours on approaches to cosmetic dentistry and recently completed an in-depth course on dental implant restorations.
Community Involvement
I truly love the Palm City community and feel it is essential to contribute to making this a thriving, healthy area for all. It is a joy to be part of Operation Christmas Smile, which provides free dental work in the community. I also volunteer with the Christian Community Care Center, which offers free dental treatment for qualified people in need.
Beyond the Office
I love being with family — I have two daughters and a son — and I love being on the water or in it. Some of my favorite times are spent traveling with loved ones, and with luck those travels include fishing, spear fishing, and diving!
